Corbesier escorted the U.S. Army ship Restorer to Midway Island, later she circled Restorer while she repaired the Trans-Pacific Phone Cable between Guam and the States. After the repairs were completed Corbesier escorted Restorer to Saipan where they arrived on 1 October 1944.
