At 0826 hours, HMS Talisman (Lt.Cdr. P.S. Francis, RN), made rendes-vous with her escort, HMS PC 74 (A/Cdr.(Retd.) C.E.H. White, RN). They then proceeded north through the Irish Sea towards Holy Loch. (1)

25 Feb 1941
HMS H 31 (Lt. R.D. Whiteway-Wilkinson DSC, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Campbeltown with HMS PC 74 (A/Cdr. (retired) C.E.H. White, RN). (2)

19 Mar 1941
HMS Oberon (Lt.Cdr. E.F. Pizey, DSC, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Campbeltown with HMS Fiji (Capt. P.B.R.W. William-Powlett, RN) and HMS PC 74 (A/Cdr.(Retd.) C.E.H. White, RN).

After these A/S exercises practice attacks were made on HMS Fiji. (3)

HrMs O 9 (Lt. H.A.W. Goossens, RNN) conducted R.D.F. trials off Holyhead with HMS Radiant (Cdr.(Retd.) J.W. Hoskyns, RN) and HMS PC 74 (A/Cdr.(Retd.) C.E.H. White, RN). (4)

HMS H 44 (Lt. W.N.R. Knox, DSC, RN) arrived at Holyhead.

She departed for her 11th war patrol later the same day. She was ordered to patrol in the Bay of Biscay to the west of Brest, France to intercept and attack the German battleship Bismarck in case she was proceeding towards that port. During passage south through the Irish Sea HMS H 44 was escorted by HMS PC 74 (A/Cdr.(Retd.) C.E.H. White, RN) until 2310/26. (5)

21 Jun 1944
HMS Upright (Lt. J.A.L. Wilkinson, RN) conducted trials in the Clyde area. These were followed by night exercises with HMS PC 74 (A/Lt.Cdr. A. Richardson, RNR). (6)

30 Aug 1944
HMS H 43 (Lt. P.M. Staveley, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Campbeltown with HMS PC 74 (A/Lt.Cdr. A. Richardson, RNR) and HMS La Cordeliere (Lt.Cdr. A.J.G. Barff, RNR). (7)

HMS Tuna (Lt.Cdr. R.L. Alexander, DSO, DSC, RN) conducted exercises in the Clyde area for the C.O.Q.C. (Commanding Officers Qualifying Course) with HMS Milford (Cdr.(Retd.) G.G. Slade, RN), HMS Peterhead (T/A/Lt.Cdr. S.T. Wenlock, RNR) and HMS PC 74 (A/Lt.Cdr. A. Richardson, RNR) serving as targets. These included night exercises during the night of 18/19 June. (11)
