HMCS Nene (T/Lt.Cdr. E.R. Shaw, RCNR) picks up 264 survivors from the British troop transport Cuba that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-1195 south-east of the Isle of Wight in position 50°36'N, 00°58'W.
