HMS Sir Gareth (T/Skr. J.P. Smith, RNR) picks up men from the American tanker Gulfprince that was torpedoed and damaged by German U-boat U-371 about 30 nautical miles east of Bougie, Algeria in position 37°13'N, 05°12'E.
