Notable events involving SC-1057 include:

SC-1057 was released from government service in 1948 and turned over to Admiral Billard Academy, a private naval prep school located in New London, CT. When Billard closed in June, 1953, she was purchased for use as a commercial fisherman. She was finally broken up in Florida in 2003. (1)
