Stricken on 1 November 1959.

She was purchased in 1965 by the Courageous sailing club of London, Ontario, Canada, from the tax man who had it impounded for unpaided import duties. She was renamed her MV Rhea and used her to train Royal Canadian Sea Cadets from 1965 till 1985 at which time she was sold to the Oshawa harbour master. She was left to rot until in October 1997 she sunk to the upper deck at her berth in Oshawa. She was cut up and raised at the cost of $100000. bout 10000 sea, air, and army cadets trained aboard her in the twenty years she sailed on Lake Erie.
